Are There Any Health Benefits to Himalayan Salt Lamps?

As a child I was afraid of the dark. To help pacify my fears my parents purchased an assortment of nightlights. My favorite one was a Himalayan salt lamp. If you’re unfamiliar with what a Himalayan salt lamp is, allow me to explain. Himalayan salt lamps are made from pieces of salt crystals mined from the Himalayan Mountains. Their brilliant pink coloring and diverse shapes serve as beautiful interior decorations and act as natural sources of light. Having said that, the many functions of Himalayan salt extend far beyond aesthetics. 

11 Reasons to buy a himalayan salt lamp

1.) Help Balance Electromagnetic Radiation

Many household appliances, such as  televisions, cell phones, computers and tablets, constantly release positive ions into the air. These, along with other various technological devices, can cause an overflow of electromagnetic radiation (EM), which, although invisible, is believed to cause some serious long-term effects.
